Cades Cove is a lush valley surrounded by mountains, it is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can catch a glimps of everything the park has to offer; views, wildlife and history. The expansive meadows in Cades Cove provide a unique foreground to some of the most amazing mountain views in the park. These same meadows also offer an ideal habitat for wildlife. Deer are often seen in the fields and sightings of other wildlife, including bear, are possible. A wide array of historic buildings dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries are scattered through out the cove. These include a grist mill, a variety of barns, three churches, and a marvelous collection of log homes and outbuildings

Cades Cove is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can catch a glimpse of everything the park has to offer including spectacular mountain views, wildlife and appalachian history. The expansive meadows in Cades Cove provide a unique foreground to some of the most amazing mountain views in the park. One of the best features of Lequire field is the sunset view available in the summer months. It's also the most convenient wedding location in Cades Cove, about 1 1/2 miles from the entrance near the Sparks lane cut through.

Cades Cove Missionary Baptist Church

Cades Cove Historic Missionary Baptist Church:

This historic church in Cades Cove was built in 1915. The National Park still maintains the structure and has made it available for wedding ceremonies and church services. The rustic interior is built of light, natural wood. The most unique feature is the alcove in the back of the church with three windows. We will obtain the necessary permit required to use the church for you as a part of your wedding package. There are no additional fees to use any of the churches in cades cove. When visiting cades cove you will enjoy beautiful mountain views, abundant wildlife and rich Appalachian history.

Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church

Cades Cove Historic Primitive Baptist Church:

Part of Cades Cove's history includes The Primitive Baptist Church. It was built in 1887 and services were regularly held there in to the 1960's. Today, occasional Sunday sermons are still held in the church. The National Park Service still maintains the historic structure and allows couples to hold wedding ceremonies there with the proper permit. This is one of three rustic churches located In Cades Cove. One of Its unique features include the natural wood interior. Look to the plank ceiling closely and you'll notice the hand prints of the people who built it. The primitive baptist church is located about 1/4 of a mile down a gravel road off of the main Cades Cove loop.

Cades Cove Historic Methodist Church:

Cades Cove is one of the most visited areas of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park because there is so much to enjoy, including majestic mountain views, abundant wildlife and interesting Appalachian history. The Methodist Church was built in 1902 and is still maintained by the National Park Service. It is particularly appealing for weddings because of it’s bright interior of white painted wood walls and lots of windows. There is also a beautiful mountain view setting at the back of the church property.
